I was on my way to Ybor City a few hours ago, on the Streetcar which was free thankyouverymuch Anheuser Busch, when a Steelers fan sat down in front of me, smiled and said hello. I thought, “Is this joker going to hit on me?” The answer was no, instead apparently he had a message for me.
He asked me if I wanted some NFL trivia, and without waiting for an answer handed me a card. It had a few NFL trivia questions on the front, and on the back it had the answers along with a message from God.
I quickly put the card on the seat, and when I got off at Centro Ybor left it behind. But since I sent a Twitter about it, I received quite a few comments including “You said ‘LATER’ to God?!?” and “you abandoned God on a Streetcar?” The answer simply is yes, it appears I did.
I have no idea what God had to do with NFL trivia or how this guy hitched his ride on the Super Bowl train. But I do know this, I still haven’t seen any celebrities in person. And Jenny McCarthy’s Leathers and Lace party is going on right across the street from my condo as I type this, so sleep will allude me for quite some time.
So God, if you’re listening can you get them to turn the music down? And I’m sorry I didn’t mean to leave you on a streetcar.

I abandoned God a long time ago too. It wasn’t on a streetcar, but it was for all the most spiritual reasons. Don’t get me wrong. I have faith; faith that one day we will all know for sure if Jesus was hiding behind the couch.
