Eight years later

It’s hard to believe it’s been eight years. I’m not very good at writing these posts because there are so many things to say, yet nothing ever seems adequate. I saw this tribute on a friend’s Facebook page, along with a touching reminder for his fellow firefighters.

“We do the job everyday, but let’s not forget those 343 who ‘did it’ that day. Hug your kids and kiss your wife, because you never know when you’re not coming home…”

The saddest day in my life.
    It still makes me cry.

That quote….perfect is all I can say.

It’s my daughters birthday, and this always casts a pall over her day.

  3. 9/11 probably changed me single-handedly more than any events all put together. Those 343 will be remembered, never forgotten.

That quote is perfect. The 343 will live on in hearts and memories forever.
