The Baltimore Ravens are my backup team. And now that the Tampa Bay Bucs Sucks are out of the running, it’s time to pull out my Ravens gear. Judge me if you will, but I’m not embarrassed to be a bandwagon fan.
I’m from Baltimore originally, but growing up we didn’t have a football team. And *gasp* I never even liked football until I moved down to Tampa and went to my first Bucs game, but I digress. The Ravens first season was in 1996, and went mostly under my radar. And by the time they played their first season in Raven Stadium, I didn’t even live in Maryland anymore. But boy did I jump on the bandwagon in 2000 when the Ravens were on their way to the Super Bowl– which meant Tampa.
One night before the Super Bowl we actually met a few of the players out at a bar including Jonathan Ogden and Kyle Richardson– the two I remember best simply because Ogden is bar far the biggest man I’ve ever met in my life. And my friend and I thought Richardson to be very cute– well until he started talking to us. Not the sharpest tool in the shed to say the least.
Anyway, the Ravens went on to beat the New York Giants 34–7 win for their first championship in franchise history. I wish I could stay I was in the stadium that night. I contemplated buying tickets for my dad and me, but they were too pricey!
This year, though if they when they make it, I’m figuring out a way to get in. But first Baltimore needs to beat the Miami Dolphins this weekend, then possibly on to the Titans in Nashville, and hopefully to clinch the AFC Championship. Go Ravens!
Stylishly yours,
Miss Attitude

I’ll give you a pass since you used to live in Baltimore, I secretly still cheer for the Redskins too
. However, you know Philly is just a hop skip and a jump away from Baltimore so I think you should throw in a cheer or two for my EAGLES this weekend!
BOO! Go Titans!
Hmmm…what is this “football” you speak of? I’m not familiar with the concept….
I’m SUPPOSED to be cheering for the Redskins but let’s face it. They suck.
I am not paying enough attention to football because I’m a soccer girl but I probably should be because the man in my life is a retired football player, loves his football and I hate being *that* girl who has no idea about the sport because I love sports.
Guess I could cheer for the Ravens. Maybe. LOL
It’s a shame that the Titans are going to have to put a nail in the Ravens coffin.. if they make it to Nashville, that is!!
Titans v. Eagles, believe it baby!!
[...] Then, I got excited again when it looked like the Ravens might be Super Bowl bound. I know, I know. Don’t rub any salt in the wounds. So now it’s the Cardinals and the Steelers. I can’t think of two other teams which I care about less. Now of course I have to root for the Cardinals since the Steelers squashed my dreams of meeting a few Ravens players again like the last time the game was in Tampa. [...]
