Have you heard about the new web comedy MERRI Me? The series starts June 15 and after getting a sneak peak I can’t wait to start watching.
It all starts with 25-year-old Meredith Weisman, Kaily Smith. After the breakup with her cheating fiancé, Merri’s wealthy dad, Tom Arnold, gives her an ultimatum. Find a job or no trust fund. Merri quickly decides the key isn’t to go out and get a career, but to land a man. And she thinks online dating is going to be the quickest route to the alter. Clearly she doesn’t read Miss Attitude, and she obviously doesn’t listen to her BFF Jessica, Andrea Syglowski.
“At least at a bar you’re drunk and desperate,” Jess says. “Online you’re just soberly admitting you’re so pathetic that nobody outside of cyberspace wants to date you.”
This is going to be good! Though I may never date again, I have definitely found my new replacement for Imaginary Bitches. And who knows maybe even Merri will write a guest Meet the Exes post for me?
